Her caring action brother or sister is her rock, in her every day life and likewise in her brand name- brand-new one.

Besides this Cinderella is dynamic, entertaining, and likewise a total jinx to herself in addition to those around her. All I can say is, poor Dwellers, to be studying your whole life for the honour, then to be treated as a nothing.This is a delightful mix of the comradely of the 3 Musketeers and likewise Cinderella. I know that there are Gods who have control and Under-Gods (studying to be Gods) who get to boss it over Dwellers. I loved the narrator, but the story doesn't work well with the humorous parts distracting you from the plot. I'm tempted to go on but I have to admit to a little hesitancy whether to read or listen. Maybe it was the authors attempt at a gripping cliffy, but for me, it just left me again with a *whaaaaat.did I just miss?*Īnother thing, I'm not sure if I just read the prelude to a menage relationship, or, a possessive best friend staking ownership. I got to the end of Trickery and I had to check my phone to see if it had actually finished. I'm not sure if it's the voice that suited the character or the character suited the narrator's voice. Saying that, the narrator OWNS the main character. And, for me, the whole book was like that.

Now, if I had read it, it probably wouldn't have flown straight over my head. I was forever doing a *whaaaaat.did I just miss?* and then scrambling back to try and work things out.

I just felt like I missed major plot stuff. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this one but I think I should have read it instead of listening. I don't really know what to say about Trickery. Written on 4 of 5 stars The narrator OWNED this character. They are almost gods themselves, and under their service she is either going to end up sentenced to death, or else they are going to ruin her so badly that she will wish for it. Under the sudden, watchful eye of the gods, she will be tasked to serve the Abcurse brothers, five sols built of arrogance, perfection and power. Her life will be one of servitude to the sols, the magic-blessed beings who could one day be chosen to become gods.Īt least her outer village is far removed from the cities of the sols, and she won’t ever be forced to present herself to them… Until one small mistake changes everything, and Willa is awarded a position to serve at Blesswood, the top sol academy in the world-a position that she definitely did not earn.
